Events and Talks
June 22, 2019 – Simply Healthy & Forever Happy
Join us as we explore simple ways to get healthier and stronger. It’s easy and you don’t even need to join a gym. I will open this event with prayer, music and meditation and talk about my game plan for living with health challenges and chronic pain. I will also talk about meal planning and demonstrate cooking a chicken caprese sandwich for our lunch! There will be talks from others including gardening and herbs, an occupational therapy student with ideas to exercise at home and an explanation of the impact of nutrition by a nurse. Find out how to read nutrition labels and make healthy food choices. Register by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. $20 per person for lunch and supplies.
April 14, 2018 – There and Back Again: A Catholic Journey (see the post!)
Women At The Well – St. Patrick Church, St. Charles
Looking for an interesting presentation to energize your parish or faith group?
These are some of the talks available:
1) Prescriptions for Faith
The doctor is in! What would these unique historical ‘doctors’ of our faith prescribe? I don’t think it would be, “Take two aspirin and call me in the morning!” Explore the advice from great Saints in this series: St. Paul of Tarsus, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Therese of Lisieux.
2) Who am I? And where am I going?
A fun and interactive way to look at your spiritual life! How does God fit in? Look at who you are and your faith life in a whole new way! Appropriate for all ages and groups!
3) Memorize the Faith and the Art of Storytelling
This presentation is not just for Catechists in your CCD or religious education programs. Pope Francis recently asked, “Are you a Catechist?” You should be. Parents are the primary educators of their children but you are a Catechist to everyone you meet. Remember St. Francis? He said that we should preach the gospel at all times—when necessary use words! Learn new ways to know your faith so that you can give a reason for your hope. It really does help to know how to tell the story! We have a tremendous history and faith to share!
4) The Art of Storytelling
This presentation is interactive! Depending on the length of your event, acting, writing and bringing your story to life is the main focus. Plenty of opportunity to learn and then try out your new skills!
5) Saintly Models for Marriage
What can Saints tell us about marriage and living our faith in the busyness of our daily lives? Great for marriage prep or marriage programs!
Just for Women
6) My Life with Mary: A Journey of Hope, Peace and Joy
Find out how Mary’s life inspired me to be a better disciple of Jesus and how she walks with me on this journey. Mary has so much to teach us about being a great mother with all of its joys and sufferings. This musical presentation explores the tremendous faith of Mary. It also discusses our modern day struggles to be great moms, too. How are you trying to be a grace-filled daughter of God?
7) Superwoman to Super Wife and Super Mom to SAINT
How are YOU doin’? Feeling a bit tired? Do you need a break? Do you have “kryptonite” in your life? From hero to heroic: Basic Training for Mind, Body, and Spirit. Explore the roles you play and learn how to be prepared for this life and the next!
It’s where faith and culture meet – bam, pow, kaboom!
